christmas time is here: a yuletide mix

I have always loved just about any music that can be considered Christmas music. Even this song gets me in the spirit. But I especially love some Christmas tunes that aren't the traditional ones. While this mix contains a few standards, it is (at least for me) a new way of experiencing the season.

All that to say, I've been spinning this thing non-stop for a couple of weeks. It's kind of like an Oreo cookie, with black music on the top and bottom and white music squeezed in the middle.

First of all, I love me some “Last Christmas” by Wham! (and, yes, you have to include the exclamation point when you refer to Wham!). Secondly, that picture you included is absurd… the TV wrapped in cellophane, the Mr. Coffee, and then the kid being forced to pose for a picture BEFORE he gets to open his presents and the way he’s just staring at the camera (you can almost hear his Mom yelling at him, “Sit up, Bobby! Smile! It’s Christmaaaassss!!!”)… I can’t stop looking at it, that’s so good. Also, this s a solid mix… you’ve got some great hidden treasures on here that I’ve never heard before. Feist, Doris Day and Otis Redding are a few treats that are doing me right on my first listen. Great mix. Thanks. Merry Christmas!

Haha, thanks Wade. I also love how if you cover up that kid's face with your finger, the rest of his body looks like it could easily belong to a 40-year-old man.

Glad your enjoying it. Merry Christmas to you too!
